Brazilian service provider Avant Services achieved Platinum Partner level with Safetica within a year, with a return on investment in approximately six months.
How did they reach this ambitious goal? We spoke with Renan Fernandes, CEO and founder of the company.
We founded Avant two years ago and quickly began cooperating with Esy (our distributor). Alberto from Esy introduced us to Safetica, a very promising DLP solution. Shortly after, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of remote work, increasing the need to manage user behavior and prevent data loss. This helped us recognize Safetica’s potential, and we began systematically introducing it to the Brazilian market.
During the pandemic, demand for solutions like Safetica grew rapidly. At the same time, Brazil’s LGPD came into force, creating a strong market opportunity.
We invested in training, people, and processes to ensure we could effectively demonstrate, sell, and support the solution. Strong alignment between technical and commercial teams was key, along with Safetica’s materials and support from Esy.
We saw ROI in about six months. Initially, we didn’t need to hire, but having a dedicated person helps streamline operations.
Timing was the biggest challenge. When Safetica entered the Brazilian market, there was uncertainty. We also had to adapt from offering different types of products to focusing on DLP.
Things improved once we identified our ideal customer—those looking to increase revenue, save costs, or reduce risk. Safetica supports all three, making it easier to grow in the market.
Tier 1 certification took about 10 days and is required for all technicians. Tier 2 followed after gaining hands-on experience and took approximately 15 days.
First, while DLP concepts can seem complex, Safetica proved to be intuitive and easy to use. Second, the communication with Safetica’s team is excellent—they are open to feedback and quick to respond.
Study Safetica’s documentation, understand the solution thoroughly, and build strong commercial and technical teams. Also, maintain a good relationship with your distributor—they are key to success.
